Gil Gutknecht's Wikipedia faux pas

Everybody knows you don't edit your own entry. For shame, Gil!

Erasing the past: it seems to be the Republican campaign strategy this year. I wonder why? Too bad that tactic doesn't work so well in an age of bloggers, Lexis Nexis, and web archives that stick around forever.

I think most poloticians just have not caught on to the what the Internet means. It's all about exposure and those that get it and have little to hide will benefit the most. Those that try to manipulate it and hide will be exposed and draw more attention to themselves than if they did nothing at all.

The ones that really get it will expose themselves. Most people don't mind and expect others to make mistakes, but those that don't own up to it just make it worse.
