More whining

Liquor sales should be allowed in grocery stores. They should be allowed seven days a week. They should be allowed 24 hours a day. And no government anywhere should run a liquor store.

I don't care how much money it raises for cities. The government should not get into retail, period. That's not a function of government. Get the money somewhere else.

  1. What about the argument that municipal liquor stores are better at preventing sales to minors?

  2. What about selling to minors? That's not a huge issue. Random checks will continue to be made. Stores that sell to minors will be fined. Frankly, I'm not terribly concerned about it.

  3. Many other states including Wisconsin and California allow liquior sales in grocery stores and 7 days a week. Is there a reason that Minnesota can't besides "we havent do this before"?
