Casino ad

The Republicans are running an ad regarding Indian casinos in Minnesota. In this laughable ad, the Republicans blame those damn Democrats for the monopoly that Native Americans have with regards to casino gambling in this state. Apparently, Republicans are just too happy to bring Las Vegas to Minnesota.

As I have said before, I would not be opposed to expanding gambling in this state. There's no reason, in my mind, to limit it. But if that's what the Republicans really want, they had better be prepared to go in all the way: More gambling regulatory agencies, more compulsive gambling treatment, more crime, and possibly other negative consequences.

Talk about shooting yourself in the foot (not you, state Republicans - i agree with you on this one). for the last 2+ years we've been told that state government needs to "tighten its belt because that's what families have to do." (which i agree with) so now, after we've made all the "easy" cuts, and no one wants to lose their state-pork projects, it's time to circle the wagons and find some free money. (which i dont) this is all pretty sad. i wonder if pawlenty's no new tax pledge(which i agree with) only includes the white man?
Sancho (the HHH poll is winning the bet for me)

Bush isn't getting above 47-48% in any Minnesota poll. That spells doom for an incumbent. Furthermore, lots of young people don't have your typical landline phones anymore (including myself) who are not being polled, and they are going for Kerry. So are new voters. So are minorities. Bush isn't getting any momentum his way.
